DAKOTA CITY, Neb. (KCAU) – The Dakota County Health Department (DCHD) has reported 26 more cases of COVID-19 on Monday.

The county’s total number of cases is 1,622, which is 37% of the total number of tests conducted.

Health officials also confirmed two additional virus-related deaths, raising the death toll to 20.

DCHD would like to express their deepest condolences to the families during these difficult times.

Health officials said there are 2,799 negative tests, or 63% of the tests conducted, in Dakota County.

DCHD reported that there have been a total of 4,421 COVID-19 performed in the county.

The county health department is not releasing any more information at this time.
